I. Pulse water meter - the system works with any model and type of a pulse water meter that has a pulse output.
II. Pulse Counter - LAPC02. Completely independent device with pulse input, which is connected to a pulse water meter. The counter counts the pulses from the meter and it accumulates them in the internal nonvolatile memory. There is an individual adjustment for coefficients for division and counting liters per pulse, depending on the water meter to which it is connected. An initial reading of the water meter can be set, followed by subsequent adjustments. All settings are password protected, which clearly identifies the person who is responsible for the last settings of the module. The settings and information sharing with pulse module LAPC is performed through the information network and can be done on the certain place or through the central concentrator for the whole building or through a GSM communicator from a remote computer. Each LAPC counter has an unique manifacturing 32 bit address, which allows the operation of several billion object from a base station. The manifacturing address of the counter can be changed if needed and it must be unique in one subnet of a hub. The pulse counter LAPC has a double supply. In a normal condition, when connected to an information network it is parasitically powered by the concentrator. The counter draws very little power and it is powered by a cable through which it sends and receives information. When not connected to a computer network or the concentrator has no power supply (shortage of supply ~ 220V), the water meter is powered by a built-in battery in order to continue normal operation and not losing a single pulse from the meter. The battery life is up to 10 years, and the counter has an indication for low battery. The battery can be replaced when needed. Installation - the counter is in a waterproof housing and is mounted near the water meter at a distance of 2m. It is connected to the concentrator with display (LPCD-46) by two-wire cable 2*0.5m2. Up to 60 pulse counters can be connected in parallel to one cable branch. The connection is non polar (no matter which cable to which you connect). Up to 240 pulse counters (4 branches*60 counters) can be connected to a concentrator with display (LPCD-46_24). If you need to connect more than 240 pulse counters, a network extender (LNCC8) should be used. III Cable network - serves to connect the pulse counters to the concentrator. Typically a vertical bus with cable 2*0.5 m2 is made along the vertical risers and the pulse counters are connected in parallel to this cable. If the distance from the concentrator to the last pulse counter in the branch is longer than 30 m the bus must be made of twisted pair! Typically for bus cables multi-wire UTP is used. It is desirable the trunk cable not to be parallel to the power supply of the system, but if so, it must be done at a distance of at least 50 cm from it. If you have a lot of vertical trunks, they must be united in the concentrator up to 4 branches and an even distribution of the number of pulse counters at the branches should be made.

IV. Power Module LPWR1220. The concentrator and the power unit are installed in a switchboard in the common areas of the building. The cables from the cable network are laid up to there. A contact ~ 220V, to which the power module is connected, is mounted in the switch board. It converts the voltage to = 12V/2A.  A cable with a jack that plugs into the hub comes out of the power supply block. The power module LPWR1220 has a built-in protection against overload and short circuit. Specifications: Input: AC 90-240VAC 50/60Hz; Output: DC12V = / 2A. Working temperature: -20 / +60 degrees Celsius;

V. The concentrator with LCD display LPCD-46.  It is used to collect and display the data from the pulse counters connected to it. The concentrator powers and controls all the subordinate network. The pulse counters are set and controlled by the concentrator. The concentrator has a socket for connecting to a PC or GSM communicator. The concentrator and the subordinate network are controlled by it. By 4 line LCD display the hub shows all the information from  the pulse counter and at every 8 seconds details from the following counter are shown ( that time is user -configurable ). If needed, it is possible to go manually with the help of the keyboard to the indications of a certain counter, using the button "Up" and "Down".
Indications of the display:

The 1-st linehas users’ specified information about the reader up to 16 characters. For example, "fl.12 Ap.142" or "The Ivanov’s" or whatever it is set for users’ clarification. The second line shows the number of the water meter, that is connected to: example: "Meter N: 12345678901". The third line shows the type of the water meter and its indications with accuracy up to a 100 liters. For example, cold water "C. water: 12345.6 m3" hot water "H.water: 12345.6 m3". The fourth line shows the actual date and time: dd-mm-yyyy/hh:mm - "09-06-2011/10:40". If a “NO” button is pressed on the place of the number of meter the subscribers’ number of the client is shown "SN:1234567890123" if it is set , or it shows the number of the water meter again. If a counters’ battery has run down, the users’ first line alternatively changes into stating: "Low Battery" and after giving that information still about 6 months of battery life are left. If for some reason the concentrator has no connection to any counter on the place of the indication of the water meter "No connection!!" is shown. The concentrator keeps in its memory the meters’ indications for each counter on every 1-st and 15th day of the month for a year earlier. The clock of the concentrator is supported by a replaceable battery when it is not electricity powered .The battery’s life is 10 years. The concentrator LPCD keeps all parameters and data in non volatile memory.

Installation - The concentrator has two ways of installation:

1. Facial - on the panel door, and the set of the concentrator has hole patterns for the holes which  have to be made on the door for the  installation. This method of installation is typical because it allows everyone to view the  display without having to open the dashboard.

2. Hidden - inside the dashboard, as it  is attached to the back wall of the panel. The four branches of the cable  network  are connected via mobile terminals. Each branch has a LED indicator for the current state. The concentrator is ergonomically designed for  an easy installation in a variety of situations and  has a user-friendly interface.

VI. Bluetooth module (optional).  It is used for wireless transmission of data, management and adjustment of the concentrator and its subnet by a mobile phone, PDA, tablet or PC. The collector can wirelessly read all data from the concentrator. The bluetooth module is installed in the dashboard and it performs a wireless connection unto concentrator.  A specialized software is installed in the device which will serve the facility. The software supports iPhone, Android, Windows which allows to use any device you have available. Not necessary to open the dashboard and use wire connection. Everything happens quickly and easily.

VII. GSM Communicator (optional). It is used for wireless transmission of data, management and adjustment of the concentrator and the subnet from a base station via GSM/GPRS network. The communicator is installed in the dashboard and through it from a remote computer (base station) the hub is controlled. The collector is not required to visit the site. You can download the data of the meters at any time from the remote computer (base station), and to control the system. The transmitted data are in a compressed format and less money is spent on traffic.

VIII. Base station (optional).This is a computer with specialized software and GSM communicator, which makes connection between all the objects for remote reading of water meters with installed GSM communicator. The software of the base station automatically draws information about the readings of the water meters and prepares reports and analysis. It performs automatic control of the objects and gives signal if any damage, emergency or critical situations occur. In this way a visit of collectors is not required. Everything is done from the office with the base station.

IX. Installation and Setting. The installation and setting of the system is extremely easy. The cables follow the path of the water. Deviations from the vertical cable trunks for each meter are made. Before connecting the pulse counter a test for the efficiency of the pulse meter can be made (if needed). After  the  installation of the pulse counters (connecting  to the water meter and the network),  the  number of the water meter, to which the pulse counter is connected, is recorded, as well as the reading of  the water meter at the  time of installation and the  serial number of the counter, the number of  the apartment and floor of the facility  and other users’ information if necessary. After the  installation of all  the pulse counters, the concentrator is installed in the dashboard using the  patterns in the kit  and the  bus cables and power supply  are connected  (to the contact in the dashboard). The computer is connected to the concentrator and by a specialized software the data about the meters, the counters and the users’ information is set up. Some user settings  for visualization are made. So the system is ready for operation!! Fast, simple and easy! That’s it! These are all the components of the system!
